Revelation of Divine Love by David McDermott

God is benevolent to us in entirety, encompassing us like apparel, with infinite tenderness
.

Lord God. Heavenly Father, with your infinite tenderness you encompass us like apparel, surrounding us, connected, embraced.
All your creation you possess in your mercy, like a miniature, fragile hazelnut in the palm of your hand. It prevails for infinity through your delight; you are the creator, guardian and beloved.
As we are an element of your divine creation, we can only find pure repose in you. Everything else in creation will only give us turmoil in heart and soul. When we repose in you we find you sacred tranquility.
Lord, you delight in feeble souls turning to you, childlike, unhesitatingly, sincerely. The Holy Spirit has inspired those souls in their inborn yearning for you.
Lord, you bestow yourself in your benevolence, that we may rightly exist in you eminence to your desire.
Lord, you are infinity and you created us for the afterlife, for time without end. You restore us through the most Holy Passion of our Savior Jesus Christ. You care for us in your blessed delight and mercy. Amen.
